KIRILL
TIMOFEEV

As time goes by, I find myself ever more grateful to all those who have played a part in shaping who I am. What remains is a quiet accumulation of encounters, influences, and time.

Music, for me, has never been an abstract idea. It is something immediate and present, something that holds memory and meaning beyond words.

As a cellist, and increasingly as a creator of my own music, I am interested in how music can be approached as a living process, something that continues to unfold, rather than something fixed.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO LIVE WITHOUT
MUSIC?

It may not seem to belong among our most basic needs, yet to lose it is to be robbed of happiness.

— Evgeny Mravinsky
